Gauge: N Scale - 1:148- 2mm gauge.
Prototype: Irish & Thomas the Tank Engine.
Period: Not specific.

This layout was built for my two young grandsons.
It is designed as a small compact layout for easy storage and use.
It has a mix of kit built buildings collected over time and are now surplus to requirements.
It also has a number of scratch built buildings including a round tower with each brick glued to a tapered brush handle and a castle based on Swords castle.
There are two sidings in the tunnels for train storage, and all the trackwork can be reached from the back of the layout.
The layout can be operated as a DC or DCC system and all track points are operated with Peco point motors.
I wish to acknowledge the help and support of the members of the MRSI club in the construction of the layout as I had no experience of building a model railway.
I'am now building a layout of Bray station in "N" scale which will be over 20 ft long.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who would be willing to share information, photos or memories of Bray railways with me. I can be contacted throught the contact me form on the Contact Us page.
